Years ago, when you first published an open invite to drop by and join your virtual neighbourhood in Best Health magazine I was waiting on your doorstep in clammy-handed anticipation (but in another time zone). Had I known about your affection for pucker-inducing lemon tarts, I would have brought a half-dozen.

I know Casey wasn't one for fetch, other dogs and dog parks, and I appreciated that he was a dog for the people. I soon found myself on his heels too. It was a Toronto I knew at a taller level, with streets once familiar to me like the faces Casey kept in his Free Scritch Rolodex. He was wonderful virtual company to be in---and though he didn't leave wiry hairs clinging to my socks and fleece, he certainly left an ever-wagging impression on my heart.

Yes I am touched. Teary eyed but I want to see to write! We are almost three years into life with our second corgi after losing my heart ❤️ dog Pippin after 13 years. She is very life enhancing but. I wish I could have met Casey. He sounds like a love. He went straight for what matters. And now the tears are running down my face so I shall end.
